When I called to inquire about what happened, the vet refused to talk to "an angry mother," as he put it. The surgery, post-surgery readmission, and the post-mortem charges cost her $5000 which she paid. They ended up paying him about $2000 so they could get their dog's remains. The nerve of him to tell them that he would credit their account for that charge. What was worst was the vet wanted to slip in the vet charges some lab studies to determine why the dog died. Had he been treated for it, he may have survived. The dog should not have been sent home with that fever. It turned out that the dog had pneumonia. She and her fiance brought him back to the hospital and the next day they received a call saying he passed. The surgery went well but the dog was running a fever, was coughing, and was not eating. My daughter's dog went in for a hip surgery and was sent home with a fever.
I am not talking about the scheduling, I am talking about the delivery of service and the dispensing of the medication and it appears to that you are splinting a hair over the scheduling of an appointment. I will be calling and I want to hear why I never saw a licensed veterinarian.

We paid for professional services and did not get them. I saw someone who I believe was a veterinarian technician given the fact that he took my cat’s temperature and did not do a physical exam. I did not see the veterinarian whose name was on the medication and my bill. Your comment however sincere did not address my complaints. I have found newer vets wait longer or stumble on things that seasoned vets effortlessly preform with experience. We have been coast to coast and I have never had anyone say this. I also while discussing antibiotics I was told a pill would be better than a shot and pills to help an infection. The vet name on the prescription was a woman and the man that took care of my cat was not her. But, I made an appointment to see a vet and I do not think I got a vet to see my cat. We loved Harmony Animal Hospital they save my kitten in 2010.
